| Cale Caldwell is a man who has everything: a devoted wife, a loving daughter, a stellar career, and a sprawling home in suburban Charlotte. Suddenly, a tragic sequence of seemingly random occurrences threatens to take away everything Cale loves--everything he lives for. But are the tragedies really random, or is there a method to the madness? Cale has reason to wonder: Just a decade ago he was an officer in the Army's 4th PsyOps Group, waging psychological war against America's enemies. Cale suspects that there is a mind behind his misfortunes; he recognizes in his tragedies all the elements of a carefully crafted psychological campaign. Someone, somewhere, is playing a head game with him--and the stakes are his very life. |

| | | | | | | Each intertwining storyline was well thought out and satisfying. We follow the lives of half a dozen characters, each unique, multi-faceted and engaging. The "head game" aspect builds slowly, as a good psychological thriller should, until the last few chapters which had me ripping back the pages in hungry anticipation… Head Game is one of the best written books I've read this year and I can't wait to get my hands on his next project.
